When it comes time to pick a best answer. Is it better to pick it yourself or give it to the community to vote

Wow; i did not expect that 15/15 people in favor of picking the best answer yourself. Should i pick the best answer now or should i wait for some more people to answer ?

better to select best answer. whenever a question goes into voting, people usually vote for the first answer because they are lazy and don't want to read through them. i don't want to cheat people out of 10 points.

I really prefer to pick the answer... but then I only as questions that have a "right" answer.

I DO enjoy going thru my favorite sections and voting for answers... and unlike an earlier respondent, I don't just pick the first answer.

Picking it yourself is the better way. It show you care enough for the answers given by people interested in your problem.

I prefer to pick myself, i ask because i'm curious and sometimes for pure entertainment and I like to show my appreciation for the answers...only times my Q's goto vote is when my account get suspended before i can pick

I pick it myself usually. But once I thought it would be interesting to let the masses choose. It took two months.
