It's 6:30 PM and they now have 2 dead and 10 injured. However, I just heard a story on the radio where a man stuck inside the tunnel used his cell phone to call his wife and let her know that he did not know if he was going to be able to get out or not. They still have one missing. I'm listening right now and they say that it could be closed until Tuesday and they're only 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through it. The Fire Department says it's a deep seated fire and it could reignite as they pull the trucks out. They're pretty sure they've got it all in hand, however, they're going to have to check out the tunnel and the freeway above it before they can let anyone use it. One Fire Dept. Inspector said they really don't know just how many cars were inside and how many people went to the hospital on their own. Says they may find more. Those folks need all the prayers they can get right now!

What a terrible event. Just a little bit of rain and all the oil on roads becomes an ice skating rink for drivers. I am so sorry that this happend to all the people. I read that a child body was found in the inferno, what a tragedy for everyone.

Recently I was driving down a main road, it hadn't rained in quite a while here, with the the rain was drizzeling the road became slick and my car started to spin, in front of the police station no less! Cars/trucks hydroplane in those conditions

I heard the latest awhile ago. They said two were dead and
I believe two are missing. If they were in the great inferno,
they probably were incinerated. I heard they've permanently
closed that freeway until the investigation is over and every-
one is accounted for. I'm sure sorry for the families waiting to
hear if their hubbies, and fathers were killed.

I just saw it on AOL news. Really bad and really scary. I hope one is the only life loss.

I was struck yesterday at how nice the traffic was on the interstate, even when backed up, and how everyone's patience and courtesy made the a$$holes look even worse when they pulled their airhead antics.

I agree with nagurnsk.

Pray. Have faith. Everything will be okay. What happens, happens, and God meant it to be that way.

But God bless the people and their families involved that they may cope with this unpleasant situation.
