No , its not enough , 1000 will be enough if u want to live in Dubai , but if u are visiting u'll need more . u can handle it with 1000 but u'll not do everything nice u can in Dubai , so here is an advice , collect more "at least 2000" and go there because not everyday is a holiday

It is more than enough if you ask me. There is not that much to do here and life is so expensive as a tourist in Dubai (for hotel, food, taxi etc.) so I dont recommend you to stay long. Try to get the interview schedule before you come. Over here, they open widely for outside people to look for a job.
Wish you good luck then! :)

Don't listen to them......it's not enough at all, dude, you need a whole month to enjoy dubai, the bars, the clubs, the malls... everything is fun out there, actually i can provide you with a website where you can find all the clubs and their plans for each night, www.timeoutdubai.com or something like that...
Enjoy It

If you could get two weeks it will better since it is a very long flight from the USA. The first day you will be getting over jetlag. If you have only got one week it should be okay. It just seems a lot to pay and very far that it deserves a couple of weeks. One week will fly by.

if you planned it right i,e, gathered the right information about offices, accomodations, supermarkets, heritage villages, etc... you'll manage to take a grip of it.
p.s. my first visit was only five days and i had a full tour of the emirate and the neighbouring ones. and it was fun...
good luck!
