Unless you count the few economically backward, politically insignificant African states, no government today invades other sovereign nations on the scale that the US gov't does.

And you're wrong, the US gov't is not in the business of "nation building" but rather "nation destroying," as the current messes in Iraq and Afghanistan have shown.

Let me answer your question with questions:
How many countries are letting the US do the fighting for them?
How many of the countries that were invaded should have been invaded?
If you are worried about other countries, how many countries call on the US to intervene (first, I might add) in countries where bad things are happening? - Darfur as an example.

not sure. there's a few others who are helping out, and there are other countries doing things other than invading other nations but are just as bad from a humanitarian aspect.

You can leave anytime.

There are mass graves in Iraq..MASS GRAVES, holding hundreds of thousands of men, women and children.

Many innocent citizens were gassed.

Regime change in Iraq was made US policy during the Clinton presidency, course he allowed the Cole to be bombed, Khobar Towers to be destroyed and the WTC bombed by the blind shieik and did NOTHING.

Think about this...exactly what do you use every day that is NOT associated with oil? Want an answer? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Every aspect of your life is impacted by oil and you want religious fanatics who live in the 15th centure controlling that resource.

You can huff and puff all you want to but the fact remains we must protect our national interests regardless what little minds like you think.

I don't accept the premise of your question. The USA is not doing that.

I would ask you "How many other countries have been attacked by terrorists and have fought back. (instead of sticking their heads in the sand like Spain?)

There are a few brave people (countries)
Poland
UK
Australia
and many others...

They might not have all been attacked, but they stand beside us bravely with fierce determination to be free. I'm grateful to them all and glad they don't listen to people like you, who would rather succumb to terrorists than fight for freedom.

Warm regards

No one. It only works when your military supremacy is so great that no one dares call you on it. Right now we are the only game in town that can say that. It's coming though...China is about to get uppity with us on the economic side and Vlad Putin is itching to pick a big fight real soon.

Haven't you heard, 'do as the Romans do when in Rome'. Are we not like Rome and could we be the future mob?
