Absolutely... plane-geometry, trigonometry, and calculus as well. I was a sonar operator and navigator for 15 years, worked for a phone company for 5 years, and now help a friend with architectural drawing.

High School was over 25 years ago now

No, but I actually used to quite like algebra. I was dreadful at maths in general, but for some reason I was quite good at algebra. Trigonometry was the worst, I absolutely hated that.

Oddly enough yes, I wrote out a yard long equation once to impress some people. It was absolute rubbish but they didn't know any better and thought I was a genius.

Very limited use, and no practical use at all in the "real world".

there are many things i use the concepts for, yes, i just don't have to sit down w/pencil n paper to solve an equation

I use it all the time along with geometry.

And not for work but for my hobbies - garden design and quilting.
