No, but the Monteray Bay Aquarium currently has one on display, and has displayed two others in the past three years. As far as I know they are the only facility that has ever been able to keep them alive in captivity. They keep only juveniles and release them back into the wild after a few months. This is done for research purposes, although the sharks are on public display in a very large tank.

No as Great whites cannot be kept in captivity due to two reasons. They are potentially way to dangerous to keep in captivity as they do not associate the connection between humans and food as some smaller sharks and aquatic mammals can.

They also have a sense of echo location and pick up on vibrations caused by prey animals and fish in distress. In aquarium conditions as has been tested, the vibrations caused by anything in or around the tank, ricochette off the glass repeatedly bouncing in all directions continuously and cause alot of confusion to the shark.

This leads the shark to make constant lunges with its jaws at everything in the vacinity and will bite rockwork, other fish, itself and the glass. The shark usually dies within two or three days of capture or, a more likly scenario, attacks the glass trying to attack people on the other side. The risk of a five million gallon aquarium in a building, springing a leak or breaking altogether is a big and real issue, and even if the shark was flushed out with the water, it would still lunge at anyone in the vacinity.
