Who is Tobi, the guy from Akatsuki does anyone know who he is.
Well I think he is Uchiha Madara. And what is his purpose does anyone know. Is he stroger that Pain.

Madara probably died by years ago. I think, Tobi is Obito Uchiha possesed by Madara's soul. But he can gain power of Madara just with help of Kyuubi (by summoning or sometnig similar). That's why he try capture Naruto.

Tobi is Uchiha Madara. i dont know if he's stronger than pein but, he's the mastermind behind akatsuki.
