Sure do. If I receive apathetic service at a store, I get on line and complain to their headquarters. It usually winds up that the manager of the particular store calls me and apologizes, but nothing really improves. Except I feel better for letting off the steam.

Indeed! and maybe they will make a change for the better. I have gotten a few free samples and coupons in the past... Hmmm I need to start writing letters again... I don't bother calling, I write letters or send emails... I hate calling and getting automated voice services. I only do it if it is a product that cost a significant amount of money or if it is something that is going to mess other people up if they don't fix it.

Depends on how much the matter at hand is worth. It's not making a "Fuss" if it is a legitimate complaint like your cable has been out for a month and they still charge you. It's a fuss if you don't like the shows on cable :)
Really if it is something that I spent a lot of time and money on, I would pursue the matter. I've written the Better Business Bureau and TV stations after buying a lemon car, and I've written letters to help a friend cheated by a modeling agency to get her money back.
Good luck.

It depends on the situation. I've called ONCE I think, and I've never written. I usually just don't go there anymore and tell others about my bad experience. The one time I called, a fast food place forgot HALF my order- but I wasn't rude when I called because I've ALWAYS had good service at that store and it was just an honest mix up. I went back and got my food for free. I don't like confrontation, so I usually just do the passive aggressive thing and b*tch about it later to ppl.

Yes. I finally got sick and tired of poor service, especially from my cable company (so bad that sometimes it doesnt even work!!!). Some mechanics aren't too far behind, or people at airline and cruise company call centers. I guess it depends on how much I'm paying for the product.

I've written to McDonalds because twice the tea tasted like $h!t and the third time I went they were out...all in the same week. It really bothered me because that's all I was there for. I love sweet tea.
