we have to tell them about the past(our time now) so they will learn from it
there are many positives and negatives and what happen in Egypt now isn't only in Egypt but it is widespread allover the world so it become normal for us daily to listen or hear or read about raping or (shatyem) or this things
our children must know their history to know that Allah doesn't punish people without reason but they left the religion and Islam so that Allah punish them by bad rulers, disease, poverty and famine

My Dad tells me that one day today and these times will be thought of as '"the good old days".
So it seems that the Good Old Days of the past that people talk about were really just thought of as being pretty normal at the time. I think maybe it is just something that people do, they have this need to look back on things in a golden light and forget about the bad bits.
Its the same with the generation thing. People have been saying "I don't know what is happening to the kids of today , we never did, blah, blah, blah," since history of mankind started.
When the time comes and we get married and have our families ISA we will be the same and think that these times were the Good Old Days and the kids are now so much worse since our time.

ohhhh this is so funny, you know when i was your age i listened to my parents tell me how things had changed, how the youth had gone down hill. how manners had gone to the dogs. no one had any respect. etc etc. does this sound familiar.
today in a supermarket, my husband and i were getting some groceries and packing them in a bag while the girl checked them through. then the child of the next customer, pushed past my husband and i to get some bags ready for her mother, while we were still packing. we looked at each other and both of us, the moment we moved away said how rude she was.
i don't know what do you think? i suspect the last generation always thinks the next generation is wrong or not as good in some way.

It was a time of war and hunger, disease and poverty, crime and racism. Our leadership was corrupt, the people didn't know who to trust. Some of us changed our ways to help the world, but none of us were powerful enough to significantly help. We were left with only our spiritual selves to beg of God for help and comfort. We spread the gospel to encourage those in need, with faith in God that He would enact the changes we could not. We were hopeful and sad at the same time. He will conquer death and tragedy, but will we be here to see it?

That is a difficult question, but i think we will try in the end not to repeat the same mistakes our parents made, so by the time we have children we each will know what to say to them.
