It was Franklin D. Roosevelt. He served in first term starting in 1933, was elected three additional times, but dies one year after his fourth and final election. This is strange because most presidents chose to honor George Washington's legacy by only serving as many terms as he did. Because FDR served more, Congress passed an amendment stating that you cannot be president for more than ten years or two elections.

Franklin Roosevelt, Teddy Roosevelt had a shot, and Truman might of made it. Washington could have probably been president for life, but decide against it.
