Educate yourself. It's cigarettes, not sigarettes. Failing that- spell check. If you're not paying close enough attention to yourself, how can you expect to keep an eye on a teenager.

If greater human beings rallied against the poor rules quite than shutting up.. then possibly issues will replace. My Son too have been given into incorrect crowds, however the guidelines are no longer scarey sufficient or no longer elementary sufficient to shrink the medicine or otherwise on the streets! because of the fact I even have 3 different youngsters... i might desire to no longer take the possibility of him staying with us. sorry mom, but its all about how you raise your child. remember, you're not here to be a friend, you're here to make sure your child grows up to be a great person. my mom raised me well. I'm 16 and i don't go anywhere near any of those things. my mom and i are friends, but that's not her intent. she tells me how things really are. she never sugar-coats anything. for example, she tells me that if i ever want to have sex to tell her and she'll buy me condoms and get me on birth control. she doesn't want me to have sex (which i haven't) but she knows just pushing me away from it will make me curious and make me want to have sex. the angrier you make somebody, the more defiant they have a tendency to be.

They only befriend who they do because they get vulnerable and their friends are good listeners who agree with them on everything. Once they build that trust, their friends become their conscience (or lack of one).
You have to catch them before they make friends with them.

k i am going to tell you straight up!
Most of my friends parents tell them "it is your life, if you get in trouble dont expect me to come bail your *** out of jail!"
that is NOT the way to do this!
i have never had this talk with my parents, because they have neve rhad to have that talk with me, so i really dont know what to tell you, but jsut dont do the above listed because that gives them the authority to do what they want!

talk to your child. Let then know what you do not approve of. They will prolly try things, even if you have talked to them, but they will be less likely to keep on doing them.
