Well, I'm a kid, so I think I know exactly what you want to. Well, I read those Chicken Soup for the _________ Soul. I've heard the stories of others. Those involved in drugs do it to fit in or because they're under stress. They're having problems. Love is all they need. Don't be mad if your child does drugs. Tell them that you love them, and that you understand how they feel, but what they're doing is not helping. Screaming, shouting, and hitting won't do you any good. It'll just make their condition worse. Love. Love is the key. Talk to your kid. Encourage your child to talk to you, but don't be overly nosy! Trust is neccessary in every relationship.

Quick review:

With to days laws..we are not allowed to make good parents! The laws are for the youth to do what they please and we have no rights! If more people rallied against the poor laws rather than shutting up.. then maybe things will change. My Son too got into wrong crowds, but the laws are not scarey enough or hard enough to curb the Drugs or otherwise on the streets! Because I have 3 other kids... I could no longer take the chance of him staying with us. He was stealing from all of us. I even went to a JP to get pshyc help ordered but Dr. let him out... and he is deliberately hurting himself now!

make sure they have a good upbringing and dont experience really hard times. sometimes things that have happened during childhood can make the child go off the rails in later life.

also the child may be encouraged by their friendship groups to do this kind of stuff. But if your childs friendship group seems pretty decent [and their not the type to be out on the street on a friday night] then try not to worry too much, but sometimes the child cant help who they become friends with.

Talk to them about the consequenses and why it's so bad. They learn by example so if your're not doing any of that then chances are they won't either. Unfortunately it's all going to be up to them. My mom had the same talk with me and my sis and I never did any drugs but then she didn;t have the same luck with my sis. Also let them know that they can always count on you and come to you with their problems and your not there to judge.
