My best friend dad died today and he text me today telling me this and I was wondering what should i do? I told him to tell me where he is but doesn't tell me. Should i give him his space or something.?

Tell him you're sorry, then give him space for a bit. He needs a bit of time to heal, and some people react to others' sympathy badly. There's this girl I knew who felt bad when others felt bad for her. Anyway... As I said, give him space. Give him some time. When he needs someone, he'll go to someone. Good luck.

This is going to be a very tough time for him. You need to tell him that you are there for him no matter what and if he needs anything to just call. Then let him be util he comes to you. He will need the support of his best friend especially once the initial shock of losing his father passes.
