Yes, it in some circumstances make it run hot, if really plugged, but your performance would be terrible.
On a 1993 car, chances are your radiator cap is worn out, not keeping enough pressure to avoid the overheating.
Other causes, loose fan belt, bad water pump( but if not leaking very seldom the cause) and possible leak in the intake manifold. Check this with a vacuum gauge. If it''s not running at a steady 19-20in of vacuum, you might have the leak causing the engine to run too lean and hot.

in case you mean "run" warm, no it won't. The job of the catalytic switched over is to decrease many of the unfavorable toxins that come from a vechile's engine. If the converter itself is undesirable, the only draw back would be that the camaro will pollute the air greater desirable than nicely-known. The engine temperature shouldn't enhance.

The technical articles below make no mention of a converter causing the engine to run hot. They do explain how complex it can be to determine if the converter is bad.

It is possible, but if the only symptom is overheating, the converter is not at fault. The converter plugging up has the same effect as the old potato up the tailpipe effect.
