Yes.
Same gods, by different names
They trace their origins back to Babylonian times.
Mercury (Latin)
Hermes (Greek)
Nebo (Babylonian)

All their names mean "speaker"

Yes. In my youth, I often liked the Roman names and their versions of mythology, which was somewhat altered from the Greek versions. Now I prefer the mythologies by their Greek names and versions.
