How about any compliments that actually offended you instead of flattered you.

I'm an aspiring R&B artist and yesterday I had my very first live performance of an original song. I was feeling nervous and my close friend told me, "You have nothing to worry about... you were made for this." It felt wonderful to have someone believe in my ability so wholeheartedly. It really touched me and boosted my confidence to the sky last night.

I can't really think of anny compliments that have offended me, but I have heard them from other people. Like, I hate it when people say "She looks good.... for a 40 year old." Why can't a lady just look good? What does her age have to do with it?

I have an identical twin, and we always get "omg! you girls are so beautiful!"... I swear, we started getting those compliments from when I could remember, and I never get tired of them! :)

The most insulting, that was meant to be a compliment: "you are really nice, especially for a dark skinned person".. yeah, my light skinned friend in high school said that! lol...

I guess being good or nice is determined by a person's pigmentation **rolls eyes***
