if it was just like his neck or somthing id say that thats fine but one of the plates on his shell is coming of OH NO NOT GOOD i dont mean to scare you but thats not good what it would do is contact a vet asap and what you should also do is leave him alone for a couple of days exsept for feeding him and do not touch him at all there a possibility that it could get a viral infection if you can find a soulution called BETTADINE at some drug stor them that should help all you have to do with it is mix it with water to make a soulution looking like weak tea andf soak your turtle in it fully submurged for about 15 minute for ten days once a day this will help it heal and it should be fine, this is the same with all turtles, there shell is there back bone so this thing going on with your turtle is deffinetly not good!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. how old is he?

that should be an old scute coming off, as long as you dont see the bone it should be ok. You wouldm ostly see it when they are dried off. You can gently pull it off if its ready but dont dig at it or try more then if it can just flake off, its kind of like dead skin. You dont want to accidentally peel off some that is still healthy. But like I said if there is no bone showing on the back then its normal

That happens sometimes, it's nothing to worry about. Natural sunlight will help out a lot, but depending on the weather where you live that may not be possible, so if not it'll still be okay. Just don't pick on it.

Its normal for a turt to shed it means hes growing , and just leave it be it will come off by itself if he gets really itchy you can brush him with a very soft toothbrush
