I went to the thrift store and found some white platform sneakers. I took out the shoelaces and put sparkly ribbons instead. They work great and they fit, so I won't fall over and break my nose.

You can modify some existing shoes...converse, mary janes...

Go to a thrift store and see what you can find. Here's a link with some samples to go on: http://www.clownsoport.com/

If you really want to make some, you can make "over-shoes" out of felt. Put some elastic on the bottom so that they will stay on. Or you can make some out of paper mache, but they wouldn't hold up very well.

Good luck!

mache or upholstery foam would work over a pair of regular shoes. u can put fabric over the upholstery foam and pant the mache.
