Ok, so i am in the publicity crew for my school.
we are doing the play "Much ado about nothing"
they asked me to make the t-shirts for this play for all the people involved in the play.
i have to have the following on the t-shirt-
- Much ado about nothing
- 2007 or '07-08
the play is also part of our schools renaissance festival
so the t-shirt can say something about that.
and, i have an idea but im not sure it really makes sense:
front of t-shirt-
"MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING"
WE DID SOMETHING!
(graphic)
Back of T-shirt:
"O, What men dare do! What men may do! What men daily do, not knowing what they do!" [quote (is that a good quote?) ]
and then, under the quote:
cast:
(names of cast and who they play)
Crew:
(names of ppl. in crews.)
[should the names of the ppl. in the crew be on the t-shirt?]
help!!!
suggestions, anyone!!

The thing about messages on a T-shirt, or bumper sticker, or anything else that MOVES, is that in order for it to be effective, you have to be able to READ it easily as it moves by. Do you really want to have people's eyes four inches away from your body as they try to read all those tiny little names?
I like your slogan. But I would put "We did something!" on the front, and "Much Ado About Nothing" on the back, with your school name, title of your festival, performance dates, and year underneath. Pick a nice deep color, and choose a complementary light color and a very Elizabethan-looking font to use for the text. That's it.
The quote is good, but it's just too much text for a shirt. Things like quotes, and the lists of the cast and crew, belong in the programs. Make sure there are enough extra programs to give as commemorative items along with the T-shirts.

When I design shirts fro my theatre shows I but the crew on the back IF I know it in enough to time make them. I feel that the crew is JUST as important as the actors. Without the crew the show won't go on.
I agree with helene suggestionfor the front and back. I tend to put on the front the name of theatre and the dates on the front as well. With cast and crew on the back.

Helene gave terrific advice.
Though as a former crew-member I'm proud that you're debating putting the names of crew on the shirt.
Another Option in this fine digital age... take a picture of cast (in costume) and crew... and have the picture put on the shirt.
I was props-master for a production of "A Chorus Line" back in 1984, and they took a pic of the cast (just like the Broadway production)... on the back of the sweatshirt, you saw the cast's backs... and under them, holding up the "stage" was the crew.
Good Luck

The others have sturdy suggestion, yet i decide to characteristic: call the college now to work out in case you may audition to get into the musical theatre classification for next year! it relatively is, if that's what you want. That way you do not omit the boat. some faculties do not do extracurricular shows, you'll be interior the class to take part. call and locate out the significant factors so which you do not omit something. you may bypass on MySpace (in the journey that your mothers and dads enable you to) and look up the college and spot in case you may others who bypass there now and are area of the theatre software. See what you will locate out previously you get there :-) additionally, no person likes a newcomer who's provided in and steals the coach (or tries to...) so be friendly, yet do not kiss butt too lots in front of your classmates. yet in addition, do not carry returned once you're appearing. in case you have a voice, use it. in case you have expertise with appearing and dancing, coach it! yet while that's suitable... each classification and practice consultation is an audition in itself. the style you present your self and your artwork ethic is significant for all destiny casting issues... you're interior the refrain your first year, yet each thing you do or do not do would be considered for destiny productions! constantly do your terrific and bypass finished out. ruin a leg!!!!!!!
