Southern France has got a submediterranean climate, but not Germany. Even in southern Germany the weather is changeful, and hardly predictable for longer than five days all through the year. 35°C can easily occur from late May on as well as sunny, and dry periods for several weeks. Often it's close, and thundery. But if you are unlucky, you will have much rain, and chilly weather even in June.
