If you're already late you don't HAVE to.. However, let me give you advice based on personal experience. With this pregnancy, I was three or four days late. I took an HPT in the morning and got a faint positive. But when I got a medical urine pregnancy test that same day, when my urine was deluted, it came up negative - the blood test showed my hCG levels were at 118, I was BARELY pregnant. What looks to have happened is I ovulated late - my due date is three or four days later than I calculated online. Lesson of the story? You can't ALWAYS be positive of when you ovulated, thus you can't always be positive how late or early your period is. I say test in the morning, a couple days after the day you were expecting your period. I took an HTP in the morning two days before I was expecting my period and it came up negative, boy was I surprised when I got a positive the next week!

It's best to, but when I found out I was pregnant, I tested in the early evening. I took 5 tests, all came out positive...lol My husband bought my tests from Dollar Tree. Even though I still didn't believe after 5 tests, I took 1 the next morning when I woke up...of course it was positive.

Your HCG levels are highest in the morning and thus the best time to test. But you can still test in the afternoons and evenings as well. I tested positive in the evening. Good luck!

you dont have to but the hormone thats the test is looking for is stronger in the first urine of the day. So for more accuracy i would suggest to use the first urine of the day.

No, I never did and got posiitve results before my missed period with both pregnancies. I waitied a few hours so that the HCG had time to build up before taking the test though, and limited my liquid intake.

No. You just want to catch the highest concentration of HCG possible. Depending on how far along you are, it won't matter what time of the day you test. Believe me, once you get one positive, you'll want to take a few other ones just for confirmation. :) Women are neurotic like that

It's best to but not necessary. I took my test around 5 in the evening and got results right away.

Nope - it says right on the box that you can test any time of day, so long as you don't down a whole bunch of liquids just to have a pee.
