It is so easy to find out the politically correct is ethically incorrect. Amoral, thus consequently immoral. Yet the majority prefer to follow rather the politically correct than the ethics. Why?

Because they don't agree with your starting assumption. That being politically correct is ethically incorrect. They believe that they are acting in an ethical manner, that trying to be polite (which is what political correctness boils down to at the end) is ethical.

Mind you, some people take it to extremes, but extremism exists in all sorts of behavior.

So your question should then be "Why do people hold ethical values that disagree with mine?" The answer to that is simple. People have different life experiences and make different choices.

Give an example..... Thank you for giving me an example.

Your example was "Guantanamo"

I do not believe there is anything "politically correct" about Guantanamo. It is a prison, being used during war time. There is war there is going to be prisoners of war. They have to be held somewhere.

People are complaining about the conditions of Guantanamo, but I can nearly 100% guarantee you that military prisoners from our ranks are not treated as well as those at Guantanamo. Just ask Jessica Lynch.

Prisoners of war are always going to complain.

Unfortunately during the early days of the war there were some issues of how the prisoners in general were treated. And it was wrong. They have been dealt with, court marshaled and inprisoned themselve.

Nothing is ideal.
