There are no preferred subjects for law at the moment. However, subjects that have a high academic content and can demonstrate how you cope with lots of information or opinion, would be useful to demonstrate your abilities in law.

Concur with SAL*UK above entirely.
There is little use in taking A level law in furtherance of becoming a lawyer, where it is subsumed by further and better knowledge at University. The A level law is more use for people who are going into professions where a knowledge of law is preferable, but not necessary i.e. Health & Safety, Building Control, etc.

I think the best to take is History and English and Law
that is most likely what universities are looking for but get the prospectus
