I have moved house recently where there is a burglar alarm with the numbers 9450 but no brand name on the front panel. I know how to set the alarm as i was given the code by past owners but as i have just adopted a cat, i want to know if i could just set the door sensors and not the room sensors. I dont know what each zone is set at and there is no manual. The past owner doesnt have a clue, it wasnt put in by them. Any advice?

no my alarm code is not 9450, thats the model type of the alarm! I was mentioning that there is no brand name just that number where a name should be!

Sounds like a Scantronic...You can omit the PIR's if you want to.......http://www.securitycentres.co.uk/Manuals/9450.pdf

ADDED>> It depends which zones the PIR's are on?! If you omit all zones you will be left with the front door only, do you have a back door? To save omiting every time you set the panel, you would be better fitting 'Petsmart' PIR's or shorting out the PIR's alarm terminals.

Either get the old sensor out and reinstall it or call the alarm company for service.
