To the usual Turkish provocator: Don't pretend to be advanced and democratic, just take a look at the answers given in your section about the Greeks, who accodring to your turkish friends would never become a free nation and country, but stay under the othoman darkness for ever (this is your schizofrenic contradiction: Othoman admirers and Kemalists at the same time), who were not Greeks but "Roums" (let me ask, what are you? Your language is Mongolian), who declare "friendship" but forget intentionally that you eliminated the Greeks of Constantinople under a formal plan, destroying and confiscating their properties, see the animosity of turkish users against Greek Hisrory which you deny because yours is counting only 500 years, see what your Grey Wolves are doing against the Patriarchate because it reminds them of the absence of past and roots on the land you're living on, see your celebrations of haterade with funny dressed "Othoman warriors" demostrating for the conquest of Constaninople, realize that you live under the third world kind of military dictatorship (how good a dawry to enter the E.U.), respect the GREEK names of our islands which are still named by you with their distorted or completely changed names (and you are ready to shoot down whomever calls Constaninople the city you gave the same name but distorted because of luck of ability to pronounce it properly), ask your friends, political parties, even your Government if the have left behind their dreams to get hold of Greek islands, and then come back and criticise, having first apologised for the genocide of Armenians and Greek Pontians.

Friend, your question is very provocative, especially when the issues in Greece are nowhere close to the Cypriot problem, at the moment. If there are Cypriots wanting Enosis then they are not Cypriots, because Cyprus is a sovereign country of its own. You don't need the Greeks and they can do without you. You have more to gain being on your own, once you solve the problems. The common factor for the 2 countries is that we have a common language, but never in history was Cyprus part of Greece, so why now? Get your heads together and Unite Cuprus to Cyprus not to other countries.

Given the fact that both Greece and Cyprus are now in the EU, any thoughts of a union between the two are redundant, superfluous and repetitious. Cyprus is far better off economically as an entity and sovereign on their own and as part of the EU, than any other emotional configuration some hypocritical "super patriots" envision.

We want Cyprus to b united because it is a greek island, and the majority of the inhabitants are greeks, and the whole civilisation is greek.
Unfortunately as i said, it is not possible, since we have to do also with the turks, and we dont want to have again the disaster of 1974

Theirs EOKA was guilty about separation. For more than a fifty years Greek Cypriots had threated to Turk Cypriots with ENOSIS.
And look what happened in July 1974.

I love all answers. We are all such understanding neighbors, aren't we? Respecting each other, treating each other equally, not desiring anything that would hurt the other... We are just blast!
OK then, with your logic, I go: Cyprus is Ottoman and therefore it should be united with Turkey. Ottoman reign is more recent than ancient Greek reign and by rights Cyprus should be Turkish. And don't start with the Eastern Roman Empire, too. In Eastern Roman times, Istanbul ruled Greece, not vica versa. You wouldn't want me to go all polemical about that.
We also promise not to do to Cypriot Greeks what Cypriot Greeks did to their brother Cypriot Turks.
Here. Do you like this logic? No? Why not? I only switched names!
Tut tut. Not becoming on an ancient civilized nation like yourselves.
