Look for open calls around your city. Every year a crew comes to my town, sorta like a model search, but they also will help u promote to businesses for commercials and such. You have to pay for a portfolio, which can be very expensive, or you can work on making your own for maybe a little less. Try out for any plays or musicals at your local theatre. You never know who will see that show. Good Luck!

You and a million like you. Here's the reality of it. If you have no expereience and training, no agent and no know how, there is no way you are going to get a job acting in films. It takes years of work to get there. For more info, read my profile and write me at my aol address, Doc

Consider consulting PROFESSIONAL Acting firms.
(The one that I started with is Millie Lewis Modeling and Talent agency.)
Start with small parts, and build on your exposure and skills "in the business."
NAME / FACE RECOGNITION is the primary goal / end.
