Yes, you can still giver her Tylenol or another acetaminophen but if she has been on antibiotics for longer than 24 hours and still has a fever, she needs to be seen again. A fever will on antibiotics can be a sign that the antibiotics are not working.

Good luck

yes calpol is very good for fevers but i would suggest calprofen as it lasts 8 hours as calpol only lasts 4 hours. i always give my daughter calpol or calprofen when she has a fever. My mother works in a chemist and she has always told me to use them both. You can always get midised it is made esp for babies with colds it helps them sleep at night. It can also be used for fevers and it lasts 8 hours also. I used it on my daughter when she was younger it will removed any descomfort she has with cold i.e blocked nose, high temp etc

You should be able to give infant tylenol (the kind with the small dropper with .4 & .8 markers on it). I believe I gave my babies .4 of tylenol at around 5 months old. However, definitely call your child's doctor before giving ANY medications at this young age. You may be surprised at what a dr will say about medications for your baby. My doctor advised me against some commonly safe infant otc drugs for my son because of another medical condition that he had at the time. So, you should be safe with the infant tylenol, but I would not give it without checking with your doctor to be safe and confirm the proper dosage for your baby's weight.

Yes i think you can give 2 and a half mls of calpol but if you are unsure call nhs24 direct you must get her temp down, bathe her with a face cloth or sponge and strip her to her nappy. Keep a close i on baby through the night as their temp can go up rapidly and drop rapidly too. I think you are unsure about giving her anything because she is on antibotics to put your mind at ease call 08454242424 to speak to a nurse. take care.xx

HI THERE YES, GO TO THE PHARMACY AND BUY CHILDRENS TYLENOL(INFANT) GIVE IT TO HER BY HER WEIGHT, THEY HAVE A CHART IN THERE, I KNOW SHE IS ONLY FIVE MONTHS, BUT GIVE HER A SIX MONTH DOSE, IT WON;T HURT HER AND THE FEVER WILL BE GONE WITHIN 20-25 MINUTES, ALSO KEEP THE BABY COOL, DON;T BUNDLE THE BABY UP IN A WHOLE BUNCH OF BLANKETS AND STUFF, TAKE OFF HER CLOTHES AND HAVE HER JUST IN HER DIAPER, YOU CAN ALSO GIVE HER A LUKE -WARM BATH, NOT COLD, NOT HOT, AND KEEP HER IN THERE A WHILE, JUST SWISH THE WATER OVER THE BABY, AND THIS WILL ALSO HELP BRING DOWN THE TEMP.. THE TYLENOL WILL HELP!!!!! MAKE SURE YOU GIVE IT TO HER EVERY FOUR HOURS, GIVE HER AS MANY BATHS AS YOU HAVE TO, ANYTHING TO KEEP HER TEMP DOWN, AS IT IS THE FEVER THAT MAKES THEM FEEL SO BAD. THEN MAYBE BOTH OF YOU CAN GET SOME SLEEP! SORRY SHE;S SICK, GOOD LUCK \

Are you sure she has a bad cold and is not cutting teeth?
Antibiotics in someone so young are not a good idea as it interferes with their natural immune system development.
It may make you more comfortable than the kid but for your child to develop a good immune system you need to let nature take its course...don't panic and look for a quick fix.
A rise in temperature is natures way of fighting the virus since the cold virus can only survive in a vary narrow temperature range, a high temp will kill the virus.
Plugged noses though uncomfortable are also a way for the body to raise temperature to kill a virus...it will pass.

I would say paracetamol or calpol but just t o be 100% phone the nhs direct they are really helpfull and they will assure you what is safe to take on the mdication your daughter is on.

I am very fond off medised it contains a antihistimine that aids breathing and has been very good with my daughter, however i am unsure what age group it allows, also unsure if you can take when on other medication.
