That was not the question asked, and it's disrepectful. Obviously there is not enough evidence either way to settle the matter, so why argue about it? Just keep your opinion to yourself until you are asked for it. This can go for a lot of subjects other than paranormal activity as well. Couldn't we all just try to respect one another's beliefs?

Sleepyriggle, that had nothing to do with the question I asked either.

Yea it would be nice for people to be respectful, but you cant change people. you can only learn how to adapt to certain situations, I say this in general and in everyday life. Some people are just ignorant and mean. Ignore them, or prove your point and make them look stupid like your doing now=)

For a couple of reasons. One, because people want an easy two points. Two, because our entire world (not just the "Net World") is riddled with those that would like to announce their opinions, regardless of its relevancy or the manner in which it is imparted. And three, back to Yahoo!Answers, because of a combination of the two.
In regards to your question, even if you had chosen a different subject entirely to broach, there would be those voicing their opinions in agreement, and those voicing their opinions to the contrary. One of the many cons of public forums. Unfortunately you can't filter out or screen responses in advance, so people use this to their advantage to publicly state their opinions; whether that is respectfully or not.
But... we all know what they say about opinions...

The net is littered with rude little trolls who hide behind the anonymity of a screen name and act like inconsiderate jerks because they don't have the balls to do so in the real world. It's not about your questions it's about drawing attention to themselves and forcing others to react to their actions. A pitiful plea for attention. Childish and sad.

I guess they just want to hear the opinions and beliefs of other people. Me myself, I am very open-minded. I couldn't see myself going to site that didn't interest me. And too, alot of people have nothing else to do with their time.

because people are just looking for 2 points. Same reason why people type questions like "did the ghost ....?" and expect people to wonder around trying to answer that.

Of course it's disrespectful, there are many here who can't stand it when they're not the center of attention, good or bad. Trolls, all of them, they can't help what they do.
Don't listen to them, just ignore and report them.

I think "exist" is the wrong word to choose when making arguments about something that is/would be dead.
Dinosaurs don't exist.
Ghosts don't exist.
Dinosaurs did exist.
Ghosts exist.
But if you want to think ghosts are real then go ahead, it don't bother me in the least. Only the improper use of the word exist bothers me ^.~
