"Australia in july can be a low season, its "winter"."

It isn't low season. July is the ideal time for exploring the tropical north and thousands of tourists arrive for that.

The cheapest airfares are those booked well in advance and most airlines will take bookings up to a year in advance but not more than that. Don't expect too many cheap fares for July 2008. With the World Youth thing in Sydney, demand is going to be high and it is demand that sets the price.
