I can't stand it when you want to talk to your boyfriend/husband and they just tell you to quit being a girl! It drives me insane to the point that I don't want to talk to him when it is important.

I don't understand why anyone would do that. I've been married to the same man for 32 years and he has always taken the time to talk when I want to.
It sounds to me like he thinks that by not talking, he won't have to face certain issues. What you need to do is raise your voice a bit more and keep on talking. He will hear you. What he is doing is trying to break your self-confidence and make you think yourself unworthy to talk to him. Being a girl has nothing to do with your intelligence and you need to tell him so.

Tell him it hurts your feelings when you're not taken seriously. If he thinks that's "girly" then ask him why. Girls are not the only gender capable of talking through feelings and issues that bother them. Sheesh.

Well, coming from a guy, that is pretty immature for a guy to say that. Next time he says that, offer to have a sex change operation and see if he will still be interested in you then.

Just ask him if you he would rather you talk to another man about it instead. I guarentee he will be all ears after that. If not, then you need to go find that other man and dump his sorry butt. Good luck

my husband never tells me that. i just tell him that he's not getting any, and he shuts up...kidding. i would never "withhold" sex. that's childish. if your SO tells you that, then that's disrespectful. get rid of him.
