Our ferret club has ferrets that average between 6-10 years old before dying, and the main cause of death was usually cancer of some sort.

European ferrets have a better breeding background and live to about 15.

the average life span of a ferret is between 7 and 9 years old but it has been known for some to reach 10

ferrets live for 5-7 years. sometimes they may live till 8 or 9 but not often

I am not sure but I heard they live for several years.
