Depending where you are not all parking meters take coins these days - a lot have been converted to pay and display systems which mainly use pre-paid parking cards or electronic purses. However, in those which do take coins, all yellow or yellow and silver coins will work as already mentioned, which is to say 10c, 20c, 50c, €1, €2.

How much is it? It depends if you want to stay there for an hour use 50 cent (Not sure). You can also use 1euro for the parking meter look on the tab.
