I think that it's possible, especially with the NFL wanting to expand outside of the USA. It will ultimately depend on the interest of the fanbase there in Toronto.

Can't really see it happening. NFL in Toronto competing with the Maple Leafs in approximately the same seasonal time? Toronto can provide a good venue but I imagine fan base would be too short. We've tried exporting American football out of this country but it just doesn't seem to translate well.

They already have the Argonauts in the CFL.

Canadian football has its own rules: 3 downs, a 110 yard long field, endzones are 15 yard long, 12 players on the field, etc etc etc. That would kill the attendance levels of both teams because both seasons coincide for about 3 months.

Canada has their own football league, it wouldn't make sense. I'm not going to say "well it's an American sport so it doesn't belong there" blah blah. Canadians invented hockey which plenty of American hockey teams exist. No wonder the world hates the U.S. so much. You can be patriotic without putting down the rest of the world.

No football is an American sport, and there wouldn't be a large fan base in Canada.

With Buffalo right there, it doesn't seem likely.
