how would i go about changing a automatic colum shift into a automatic floor shift?, is it possible?

This would be relatively easy, if you have the parts. Basically, there is a lever on the transmission that has to move back and forth. And if it is cable operated, you can put the shifter just about anywhere that the cable will reach. If it is operated by a rod instead of a cable, there might be more involved and you might have to do a bit more engineering

No need for a new transmission though

it is possible but it would involve usually a new transmission because they are layed out in a specific way, however the cars that are made with a colum shift are usually layed out to have it where a floor shifter may cause some problems.
