1-She will appreciate the fact that I threw away all of her plastic containers , glass jars and old spices. Will she consider this as a beginning of a new era. A time to embark on a fresh start and let go of the past. Or will she kick my azz?
2- Will she be ok with the fact that I now have 3 fish tanks? Will she understand the necessity of devoting one tank for each type of fish so that they can have their own personal freedom?
3- Will she be pleased with the way I redecorated everything in the house to make it more modern and less clutered, in other words, I threw away the old furniture...., will she be pleased with that?

When your mom comes back, take her out to a nice retaurant. Drive her home and use the circuit braker to shut the lights out upon entering the house. Tell her there was a black out. Then bid her good night, back a bag with valuables and get the heck out of there. A woman's wrath is the worst. Give her a few days to calm down. Go home after a week, she will have missed you so much that her anger at you will be replaced by joy at having you back home.

Just play dumb
if she asks about the plastic containers say "What container"?? there were none when you left
and if she says "umm where did the other fish tanks come from" say "mom i had them before you left, do you not remember? ""
and if she say anything about the furniture say "mom this is the stuff your ordered before you left and they delivered it while you were gone"
she will then believe everything was her idea or not there from the beginning

i think she wouldn't mind... if she does, she would have minded the first fish tank that you first bought.. so three won't hurt... neither the furniture.. she sure wanted to get rid of it long time ago. Do you know how long it takes to convince a man that the furniture needs update? that there's something called: sell-the-old-furniture-and-buy-new-ones fashion.. Well.. now your father will HAVE to buy new furnitures... so you're doing your maother a favor.. i think it's your father you should worry about :)

May be u have good taste in furniture and she likes it, but I think you wasted your dad's money to do that, so, as Chloe said, I should be more worried about your dad..
