when its real you will feel something, tingling energy.....i went and saw one and she was a con...i felt nothing....ive had my tarot cards read and nothing came true...but then once, my sister rang a psychic on behalf of me..when he got stared the strongest energy feeling hit me and he told my sister he felt like he was going to get blown out of his window..such strong energy...he was the only one who could tap into the subject i was trying to find out on...and mind you its wasnt your everyday situation i was trying to get someone to tap into it.....they would NEVER guessed of it....never...and he did..... and the feeling i got was unbelievable...a physical and spiritual energy of tingling through my whole body...without him knowing...he was telling me of his feeling he was getting at the same time, during my reading...and i couldnt believe he actually tapped into my subject..that was enough to convince me.....so id have to say most i think are fake but few are real.

Sincere and real are two different things. In my experience there are outright frauds (i.e. Sylvia Browne, John Edward, et.c) and then there are those who truly do believe they have abilities. They are known as true believers. They can be sincere and still be ripping you off, because they do not have psychic abilities.
When you go in for a reading, the person will ask you questions. She is getting background on you. She is also aware that you are going to go in to ask about specific things (i.e.family, work, money, romance, etc.) and will offer advice in those areas. She will never be very specific, and if she is it's in areas like how many children you will have or some other unverifiable thing. If anything comes true it's either due to luck on her part or else by you fulfilling the prophecy.
Do it and have fun with it, but there's nothing paranormal going on.

They sit you in front of them(at least I do), and then they proceed to "Read" you. Your past, present, and if it is neccessary- what is happening ahead of you.Like for instance your going to be 30 soon(very Old Ha!Ha!).And that your out of probation, on Yahoo answers, and try not to get too many hangovers, and watch your tummy, it will get fat with too much beer. And that underneath that funny man approach is a sensitive, caring , chap who hides sorrow and disappointment well. That sort of a thing.

Yeah I have visited one who read my tarot and told me about one of my past lives.
She was pretty sincere and I had a good gut feeling about her though, I did think it was wierd when she told me this moonstone I was drawn too on her table liked me at the time until I remembered that Gemstones are living as in they are a part of the earth.

I've never been to a psychic but I read Tarot cards for my friends. I don't charge them anything but I do accept small donations of tacos, vodka and bud!

I went to see a psychic once, but they were not open. Don't you think a psychic would know when they were going to have a customer?
