Becuase of the fact that use spelled "capitol" with an "o" it refers to the BUILDING in Frankfurt that houses the state government, rather than the city of Frankfurt itself.

it's frankfort. I like to remember that kentucky has KFC, and frankfort is almost like a hotdog - meat.
