When I was six years old I was playing baseball in the house, unfortunately with a real baseball (this was before the invention of the Nerf Ball), and it went through the front glass of my mom's china closet. My mom was outside hanging laundry and didn't hear the crash. So what I did was go out back and asked her if I could go down to my friend Mike's house (three door away).

When she said I could, I went in, grabbed a couple snacks, some Kool-Aid, some comic books and a flashligt, and headed straight for my bedroom closet. Didn't work. When my mother came in and saw the glass in the dining room, she headed straight for the closet, and the glass wasn't the only thing that was busted.

Yes. We used to play "sardines" as kids. It's a variant of "hide and seek", where one person hides and everyone tries to stuff himself or herself into that hiding place. Last person left out is "it." Have you ever tried to play Sardines on horseback?

I was hiding from my husband. He always used to jump out and scare me. I'd always squeal. He showed no reaction which took the fun right out of it for me!
