No it doesn't hurt at all. You don't feel anything except a release. It feels better actually.

No, it doesn't hurt. I had my water broken, and to be honest, it felt like I had gone to the bathroom all over. It's quite an experience. But don't worry, that's a natural way to induce labor.

My water broke at home and all I felt was wet. Took me 4 hours to get to the hospital, because, I wasn't packed and ready. (the drive is only 12 minutes) My husband was livid with me for doddling and trying to pack...When the Hospital called back for the 3rd time and said they were going to send an ambulance to get me...I got in the truck to go...He was born breech 1 hour after I got to the hospital (C-sect surprise)He was a week early. And I decided he wasn't coming until the due date.....WRONG....

well everyone is telling you that it won't hurt but that isn't entirely true. i had my broke with my last child and it was very painful. the doctor had a hard time getting it and it felt like a really bad constant cramp and she almost gave up because she couldn't get it and it was hurting really bad. but with my second pregnancy i didn't feel a thing.

No pain, just a weird sensation like you are "wetting" yourself and there is no way to stop it. The doc broke my water with baby #2.

It doesn't hurt.
You feel a tugging and the discomfort is the same as having the internal exam. I would say it was mildly uncomfortable when the hook touched my cervix but it was not in any way painful.
