Well, I have now - thanks to your question:
""The Story of Oddieworld"
Have you ever put clothes in the dryer after the washing machine, only to discover that your pair of socks was no longer a pair? Only one came out! Did you ever wonder where your missing sock went? Well, we now know the answer to this puzzling question.
The book, "The Story of Oddieworld," is a story of a wizard who had two daughters who did not get along. The wizard planned on casting a spell called the "Oddie Spell" to make them the best of friends, but his spell went awry. Among the things he put into a pot for the spell, were one of each of his daughter's socks. But one of his own socks fell into the pot as well, and so all three socks turned into Oddies and ended up going to a place called Oddieworld. While in Oddieworld, the three Oddies each discovered their place. But the wizard back home was never able to find out where the odd socks went. Did any of your socks end up in Oddieworld?
MyParenTime.com recommends this book -- what a fun, creative story that fosters a young child's imagination! The illustrations in this child-size book are colorful and playful, and the text on each page is short enough as to not lose a young child's attention. This first book in the series sets the stage for all the other books in the series, some which are titled, Horse Rider Oddie, Police Oddie, and Nurse Oddie. Young children are sure to enjoy this story, as will the readers...who will find comfort in knowing that their odd socks have found a place of their own :).
Hmm - except for the last missing "Y", the author's name is the same as mine. Wonder where the "Y" went?
"Once upon a time there was a man called Grant Slatter who was always losing socks. Every time he did his washing he found that one of his socks had gone missing. He used to ask himself "where do all the missing odd socks go?" and sometimes he would look up at the sky and wonder if they were going to a different world."
