When my brothers first child began to speak we went through all the stuff about who wants to be called what, whether I liked it or not, I have to be referred to as Uncle.... I absolutely hate it, and also have found myself calling my mother 'nanny' and my father 'grandad'
Not in to labels and I loathe being called Mr.

I am older and my kids have flown the nest, but I do not have any grandkids yet........I do however have a beautiful granddog and grandcat........
Someday if I get the privledge of grandkids, I like Nanna or Granma - when I was a kid we called one grandma Grana - and the other Grannie - I hate Grannie, and have no clue where Grana came from.

Nana or Gramma. It just sounds rather cute to be called these by little kids. What is great about grandkids is that you can spoil them rotten and then they go home.

My two year old Grand daughter cant pronounce Gran so she calls me her lovely Ganny
