Death is believed to be many thing to many different people, some believe it is the end, some believe it is the beginning of something better etc.

The reason many fear it is, it is a fear of the unknown which is a very common fear.

However, personally I don't fear it, it is inevitable and for all I know it could be better then what I have now on this earth.

There is also no reason to rush it.

Some people fear life, some fear death, there is really no logical and definitive answer to your question but we all have our own personal fears and demons.

You should not fear death... as long as your prepared for it. Obtaining the vibration of divinely pure consciousness is what I hope to achieve at the time of my death. But maybe this can only be grasped once our essence is released back into the universe. Though, should not be feared because it is natures way, the violent ruptures of death and rebirth. It is better than being stagnant.

Death is the translation from this body to spirit. It is about as scary as having a pimple. Life on Earth is just a testing ground " boot camp" for souls. Winners get Heaven, losers don't. This is not speculation, it's fact. Hell does exist, and I'm not going. Church will fill in the details. If you are facing death soon, get right with God. Best to you.

I do not believe it is the fear of dieing as much as it is the thought of Dieing...Or the thought of being dead..Being all the people who will miss us and the here after which is unknown. Heaven or Hell...depending..
See we build lives which we know ,and live day in and out.. and it is our Comfort cause we know where we are...It's the unknown maybe that is the fear...I hope this helps.... Well it is my theory on the matter...But the part of life is death...
Sometimes I sure wish it wasn't....

Death is the absence of life, or the end of it, and there is no point in fearing it. One can reasonably fear the process of getting there, which is likely to be messy, painful, and expensive.

I'm with rhsaunde. It's not death, it's getting there that stinks.
Death itself is fine. Once we're dead, we're out of our misery. Nothing can hurt us anymore.
The living know that they shall die, but the dead know not anything.
Death is like sleeping.
