300 pages is really not that many pages, just keep reading try to get into the main character. You would be surprised how quickly you can go through a book if you really get in to it. I can read a book a day if I get involved. It gets to a point where I do not want to put it down. Some of books I read over and over because I enjoyed them so much.

I've been able to knock out a 300 page book in the course of a single day!
I was alone in the house, so it was quiet, and it was a Saturday (or Sunday, NOT during the football season), so it really wasn't that hard to do.
Get comfortable, give yourself plenty of light to read by, fix something hot to drink, and have some snacks close at hand.
Rest your eyes from time to time, and you'll finish that book before you know it!

My son finished the last Harry Potter book 2 days after he got it, and it was more than 300 pages. And you have a whole month!

Not to sound like a jerk, but if you start at the beginning, and turn pages as you finish them, you will finish the book. It would help a lot if the book was one you wanted to read.

Setup a dedicated time (about one hour) every day (or at least four days a week). Make sure there are no distractions like a radio running. Read for most of the time, then write down what you think were the important parts of what you just read.

There's also a more advanted technique called the SQ3R method:
Survey-peek ahead to see what your're about to read
Question-ask yourself what you're trying to read for (certain people, events, times?)
Read-read the material
Recite-from memory, say outloud what you just read
Review-go back to make sure you didn't forget anything important.

I gather you are in HS. Wait til you get to college. No prof will wince at the thought of handing you a 300 pg. book and expect it to be read by the next class. The work you are assigned in HS in no way prepares you for the rigors of university education.

you have 30 days. Read 10 pages everyday. Problem solved.

I even finished reading the bible. It took me months, but yeah. Don't worry. You'll do fine as long as you don't give up.
