And do you think kids are giving up toys earlier now? (I reckon I was at least twelve, though I can't really remember. I still played with Subbutteo till I was mid-teens, though that's not really a toy, I suppose.) I suppose I mean action figures, dolls, that sort of thing. Not games so much.

And if you still do, how old are you?

Hey, I'm not criticising anyway for still playing toys! I think it's great if you do!

I still play with them! It isn't wrong either...we're all kids at heart and if you're not I feel sorry for you...I know what you're saying though...most kids are now into watching tv and playing video games than playing with dolls and cars. I think a lot of that has to do with what is popular in our culture and lets face it for some parents they think that TV is a great babysitter. Kids nowadays also don't have much imaginations because all they do is sit like zombies in front to the tv.

You never really quit playing with toys.
Some change to video games still toys and then there's the car which tends to become alot of people toy choice as they collect and rebuild and so on for fun as much as profit or collecting.

Then there are the children in most peoples lives which bring you back to playing with toys with them.

So what type of toys are in your lofe anyway.

Well I remember not having played with my barbies for awhile, like a few months when i was like 12, and then one day i went to play with them and I was totally disinterested in it. I'm not really around little kids nowadays so im not really sure if they give up toys to soon, but i don't think that 11 or 12 is to soon, it'll probably happen once they start going through puberty.

Great question.
I think I must have been around 11 or 12 cos I have memories of playing with dolls at primary school. But I still had favourite toys i kept until I was older.
I still have my favourite doll and teddy at my mums house and my kids have now out grown them too!

I'm a Speech and Language Therapist so I play with toys on a daily basis. Don't find it so much fun these days, although I'm still partial to a good stream of bubbles. They really are magic.

I stopped I guess at about 11....
Yeah my bro now who is like 10, is into like ps2s and all them electronic games ...Which arent really toys, I guess that is the main reason why they have stopped playing with dolls...
But my bfs sister, she still plays with dolls and that at 9..
I guess its more girls that play with toys till older than guys...
God that was a ramble =]

not counting my doll gathering or dressing, which I gave up a pair of year in the past, I end twiddling with something that could desire to be recognized as youngster's toys at approximately ten or so. video games, of direction, are a distinctive matter. under no circumstances have and under no circumstances will provide those up.
