The pro seems to be that you don't have to spend 5 to 10 seconds to pull back your foreskin and rub when you shower; if you consider that a hassle. The con is that it makes your penis less sensitive:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,285532,00.html
There's more to it from medical studies and statistics, though. Here's some research if interested. Circumcision is a traditionally Jewish and Muslim surgery, although it was introduced and encouraged to the Western, developed world (North America and Europe, but especially the USA) as a way to stop masturbation, especially with the help of Dr. Kellogg. (see link 1) However, although scientific studies have discovered that circumcision harms masturbation by up to over 60% (2), needless to say, it doesn’t completely stop masturbation. Many circumcised guys just find it more convenient to use a lube like KY or lotion as a result (3) since the typically moist foreskin (like the eyelids) is not there to rub the head of the penis with (4).
Most developed nations quickly rejected circumcision after noticing its ineffectiveness against masturbation (they were quite religious back then!), and as a result the United States remains the last developed nation doing it to a significant percentage of newborns. (5) This was done as a result of the for-profit American health care system promoting myths about benefits of circumcision (6), such as preventing penile cancer (6a, 6b), preventing HIV (6c, 6d) despite the USA being the developed nation with the highest HIV rates and circumcision rates (6e, 5), and preventing STDs (6d, 6f). As a result, circumcision now brings in hundreds of millions of dollars to doctors and the American health system. (7)
However, circumcision has been becoming less popular as years have passed by. In the 1960s over 90% of guys were circumcised in the USA, now circumcision rates are as low as 14% in some states. (8) More and more parents are discovering that circumcision carries more risks than benefits, and realize that by leaving their sons uncircumcised, their sons have the choice of choosing what they’d like, since the surgery is irreversible (you can't go back if you don't like it or if it goes wrong).
Circumcision risks include the loss of sexual pleasure according to multiple studies (2, 9, 10, 11). Those studies take into effect many sensation points, including the foreskin, and they involve many participants. There have been other studies that claim no difference, but they don’t even take into effect the nerve endings on the foreskin, which as seen in one study, are some of the most sensitive points on the penis (10). One study even found an increase in erectile dysfunction rates after circumcision (10a). In another study, it was found that females ended up reaching orgasm with and preferring uncircumcised males in 9 out of 10 cases (10b). In addition, circumcision is extremely painful on newborns (12, 13, 14), and you risk many bad conditions, such as a buried penis when too much foreskin is removed and limits the size of the penis (15), or adhesions or skin bridges that develop from the head to the shaft when the skin heals after the surgery (16), meatal stenosis [occurs in up to 10% of circumcised males!] when the opening of the penis becomes irritated from too much exposure and rubbing and begins to close up (17), and meatal ulcers (18). All those risks are, of course, not including the possibility of having too much skin removed, which can cause discomfort during erections due to lack of skin to allow the penis to expand, and could consequently cause a hairy penis by pulling pubic hair and skin to the shaft. Often a circumcision scar develops around the penis after circumcision. In addition, circumcision has negative effects on breastfeeding. (18)
To conclude, here is a link that describes the anatomy of the foreskin (19) and the development of the foreskin with infants, a link especially helpful for parents (19a). Ultimately, one survey found that although uncircumcised guys are a bit more satisfied percentage-wise, it’s within the margin of error. (20) The only difference is that those unsatisfied uncircumcised guys can simply get circumcised and end up satisfied either way. If you're cut or uncut and happy, you'll say that side is better. If you got cut later in life, you'll say cut because you had problems with your foreskin before. If you're cut and had something go wrong or wish to have had a choice, then you'll say uncut. One survey found that up to half of circumcised guys wished to have had the choice themselves (as in, been left uncircumcised and they could have chosen to get circumcised if they wished later on in life). That's a huge number. (21) That, along with the risks and negative effects that are being seen more with the help of the Internet, may be what is bringing down circumcision rates.

Jeez. Haven't people on here heard fo soap and water yet? You do not need to cut off the most erogenous skin on the body to keep it clean folks; a simple wash, rinse and dry daily and after exercise or other hot sweaty activity does the job easily and quite pleasantly.
Also, for guys with tight foreskin, circumcision is a pretty radical way to loosen it up. Learning to stretch a tigfht foreskin is simple and the doing it is fun. And after a month or three it loosens up enough to enable ful retraction.
Foreskin removal does not (despite the old wives tales) prevent masturbation , cure epilepsy or anything else. Nor does having foreskin increase the risk of cancer of the penis (which is so rare no one even considers it to be a threat. But if cancer is a concern, there is a much higher probability of getting prostate or testicular cancer so keep the foreskin and remove those other parts instead if you are into surgical prevention).
The biggest pro to being intact is there's a little more on there to play with even when erect. So itcan increase the fun whether going solo or with a partner.
Another plus to having foreskin is, it protects the glans/head and keeps it moister and more sensitive. And it keeps the glans from constantly being chafed against fabrics. All these help retain the sensitivity of the glans which can definitely help during sexual activity.
During masturbation, the foreskin can also remain between the rough hand and th esensitive head thus making the experience a bit less prone to pain from all the friction on the head.
And of course the little extra fun you get by having to retract it to wash and dry daily - hehe.

great to be uncut because we are more sensitive, sex is more natural, don't need to use lube, looks better, is NATURAL and is the way we were born. We don't smell if we wash each day like every other part of our body, we don't spread any more germs than a cut guy and we are not dirty.
One advantage of being cut are that you have very little chance of catching thrush of your wife.
In the end it comes down to personal choice. Some guys were cut at birth and never had any say in the matter and some guy chose to get done as an adult. Some women prefer cut and some prefer uncut, some don't even care.
What is sad is the amount of people who either spread lies about the uncut penis or listen to old wives tales. I think that each man should be able to choose what he wants to do with his penis as an adult only and not be done against his will as a child.

the only real answer you could get fromt his question is from a dude that has had his unit both way and has used it both ways been sexually active cut and uncut and can give an honest answer to the question. I can only say that there is'nt any benifit or problem being uncut you have the skin to protect the head of the unit. There is no more to take care of it than when you wash your body in the shower you also pull back and soap up thier too but a cut guy should do that also.

You still have to wash and use condoms when you're circumcised, so people who say it's cleaner and cuts down on disease are wrong. It shouldn't make a practical difference.
Most men in the world are uncircumcised. Some women in the USA where they are used to circumcised say they like that better, most people prefer uncircumcised. Also you can slide your foreskin up and around and don't need lube to masturbate when you're uncircumcised. Circumcised guys must lose sensitivity with all that sensitive skin gone!

ADVANTAGES OF BEING INTACT:
--Circumcision cuts WAY down on sexual enjoyment for the man due to loss of nerve-rich foreskin. A new study proves conclusively, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that circumcision decreases sensitivity for the man.
--Getting cut causes the glans (head) to develop a keratinized layer to protect from rubbing on clothing, further cutting sensation. Many cut men are unable to ejaculate during intercourse and have to finish by hand. Intact men can go all the way.
--nine out of ten women who have had both prefer intact penises: http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/60750.html That's really pretty definitive.
--foreskin makes masturbation more fun - and better for your partner to play with.
--Circumcision hurts -- a lot -- when it's done, even if you are too young to remember it. Have a look at http://www.cirp.org/library/procedure/plastibell -- is this any way to welcome a child into the world?
--Circumcision, like other surgery, has a chance of complications. Each year a few baby boys have to have their entire penises amputated and undergo surgery to make them into fake girls. And a few die.
ADVANTAGES OF BEING CUT: Circumcision has NO advantages that are not fictional or only relevant in a few areas
--You can be just as clean if you are uncircumcised. Wash. It's THAT simple. Even if you're cut, you still need to wash.
-- If you're sleeping around, you need to use condoms regardless or you will get diseases.
--Some studies have shown a lower rate of cancer of the penis in cut guys, but this cancer is so rare that it's hard to get a good statistical sample. More boys/men die each year from botched circumcisions than from cancer of the penis.
--The US has the highest circumcision rate in the developed world and also the highest AIDS rate in that group. http://www.circinfo.org/hiv.html
--Circumcision is necessary if a man had frostbite, cancer, or gangrene on the foreskin. All of these conditions are extremely rare. Circumcision is not need to treat phimosis (tight foreskin) -- stretching, hormonal cream, or just waiting will cure nearly all cases of phimosis, and conservative surgery that spares the foreskin takes care of the rest.

Circumcised is cleaner (no smegma), Healthier (the risk of acquiring STD's and HIV are cut by 60% and cut guys don't carry HPV the virus that causes cervical cancer in women), sex is 100% better (when you are uncut you are basically masturbating inside your partner, cut you are giving and receiving pleasure the way God intended), also being cut looks much better! There is no downside to being circumcised and more than a handful being uncut!
I had my two sons (1&3) cut at birth, because I knew what was best as I have been on both sides!
Check this site out! It debunks all the lies the anti's post! Ridgeband what a joke that is.....LOL!

drjubelWHATEVER: It DOES NOT COMPLETELY ELIMINATE CANCER OF THE PENIS. doctors with that idea have killed men with misdiagnosis and delayed treatment of penal cancer! "It can't be cancer, you are circumcised!" WRONG!!!
The only pro is that it makes even poor doctors rich, so we don't have to give them food stamps.
Cons: Possible death, penal amputation, removal of too much tissue, surgical site open to drug resistant staph infections, meatal stenosis, loss of sensitivity; and that is just the short list.
tcrock80: you are a d.s. the US has the worst RATE of infection of STDs of any developed nation. The size of the population is not the point it is the percentage of infected. The US "circumcises" the highest percentage of newborns and also has the highest infant death rate among developed nations. Coincidence?

The biggest pro is it completly elimates the development of squamous cell carcinoma of the penis and phimosis or paraphimosis (irretractable foreskin very painful) all of these are due to the inability to properly clean the cleft formed by the foreskin. The only real con is that once it is removed its gone... so make sure u want to aesthetically. For anymore questions of the pathological origions of these diseases go to pathguy.com and click on male health.
