Yes, it's not like he proved a groundbreaking theory. He simply thrived off other people's research.

Yassar Arafat won the Peace Prize a murdering terrorist won the Peace Prize. Jimmy Carter, the worst President of the 20th century won the Peace Prize. Kohfi Annan, the freedom hater who allowed the Rwandan massacres won the Peace Prize.
It means nothing. It has been prostituted for political reasons and is useless

Why in the WORLD did he get it anyway? It is not like he did any INDEPENDENT research, or put forth a NEW theory .. or did anything that could really be SERIOUSLY considered for the prize ...
I have to wonder ... HOW in the world was he chosen? Is the Nobel Prize now just being handed out like candy to any celebrity that shows up?????

Actually if you read the articles in the news more carefully I think you will find he did not earn it outright, he is sharing it with the UN.
He has done nothing to deserve it and I have to agree with you that it has made a mockery out of the honour that is is meant to bestow.
The only thing he did was use his power of office to shove the garbage in his book into being required reading in schools.
Reputable scientists have already proved that there are many discrepancies in his book but they are conveniently playing that down.
