I watched it 3x and have come to the conclusion that it is simply clever advertising.
It isn't racist, in my opinion, but TEASES you into thinking it is.
It will get talked about, and make it onto the net as a hot subject.
Watch again.
It is selling a black toothpaste, so untraditional isn't it?
The product is different, and perhaps reaches out further and gets the job done. Forget the monkey / tree approach, as that is prejudiced, and if you had a white guy climbing some lump of concrete, it could be assumed that the advertising agency were out of touch.
The child portrayed gets the "dream white teeth back" from a "do good er" who happens to be black, like the toothpaste, but it is the child's parent who IS PORTRAYED AS RACIST, or perhaps doesn't like change?
It got us talking didn't it?
As I Say, clever advertising.
In such a sad politically correct world.
I guess I'll get a lot of thumbs down for this, but that is the way advertising works - Controversially.

I thought the child being taken away by the (seemingly) Asian woman, then the woman chiding him because he was black, was racist. But the black man morphing into black toothpaste? Is that what you're complaining about? Because I didn't really get that. But you're right, this should not be seen on American television.
