Here check out this webside, it's for a birthcontrol that gives you shorter periods. I think that is the only way. The website says on average periods are less then 3 days. Goodluck :) Oh and I just want to say that not all women go on birthcontrol just to have sex. My sister went on it to help her periods, but plans to wait until she has been with her boyfriend a long time.

Going on birth control will regulate and make you have your period anywhere from 3-5 days, but you should only go on birth control if you are sexually active, and if your doctor thinks it is a good idea.
Having your period for seven days is normal and it's something that all women have to go through so you just have to accept it. Exercising a lot will not change when and for how long you get your period, it all has to do with your hormones and how your body works.
Hope that answers a few of your questions =)

I'm sorry that you have such 'long' periods. You may want to ask your doctor if you can take LeEstrin ... it's a birth control pill that has the 'side effect' of shortening the 'period' to about three days, and it's also 'lighter' ...
Unfortunately the only SAFE way to get your periods shorter or lighter is to take birth control pills. SOME people who do a 'lot of exercise' don't have periods, but they are also usually substantially underweight, overly muscled, and they do 'extreme' exercise, either running or 'triathlon' (swimming, running, and biking) to get ready for a competition. Normal people would find it impossible to get their exercise 'up' enough to be any 'help' with their periods, besides getting their body in 'better shape.' TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR.

Birth Control Pill will control your flow, or you can not have a period at all if you just move on to the next pack and not take the 'fake' pills to induce your period. However they only suggest you do this for like 3 months, have a period and then continue the pill as normal. Your period is a way for your body to clean its self out.

LOL...
sorry, but 7 days is normal for a period to last. They can go from 3-10 days.
Birth Control Pills would be the way to shorten your period length and regulate your period if you are irregular.

There's nothing you can do. The amount of days your period goes is determined by your genes and seven days is normal.
Exercising does not effect your number of days at all. Your number of days is genetic and the number needed to get rid of all that is in there.
The birth control pill only shortens your days by one day. Before I went on the pill, I went for seven days. For 13 years on the pill, I went for six days. It's back to seven days this year.
Going on the pill just to shorten it by a day, is not a good reason. The pill has hormones in it and if you don't really NEED the pill, it can mess you up.

Ask your doctor. There are certain types of birth control that shorten the time of your period. I think Yaz is supposed to make it last only 3-4 days.

Dear Brandi
There are medications that will help you control when you get your period and the length. What you need to do is see a gynecologist. It might also be time you to a shot of guardacil to prevent your contracting uterine cancer.

the only thing that will work is the pill
however, the excercising alot is true... but it is only true if you excercise ALOT and the problem with that is sometimes when you get older you are not able to have children. One of my cousins excercised alot when she was 14-16ish because she had self-image issues, but my point is is that now she is unable to have children. So be careful.
