I agree with this. People that will give up their freedoms and rights for a fake safety the government controls deserves nothing cause their too stupid to realize whats really going on.

Its like this, we blow up the twin towers, everyone scared and signs away their rights for security, then we attack ourselves again, they sign away more. People that do that are too stupid to make decisions that affect the entire country. Research things.

And anyone that says they will give up liberty for security is retarded. They are the ones that have fallen directly into the trap that is this government.

So yeah, thats my thought on the quote.

9/11 was a Zionist FBI.MI6,Mossad job to scare people to consent to their own OWG repression.

" But not all of the eye-witnesses to the 9-11 slaughter were so saddened and sobered. On September 11, five Israeli army veterans were arrested by the FBI after several witnesses saw them Dancing, High-fiving and Celebrating as they took pictures of the World Trade Center disaster from across the river in New Jersey. Steven Gordon was the lawyer who volunteered to represent the five Israelis. He was asked by a Hebrew newspaper why the five men were being detained by the FBI. Here's what Gordon told Yediot America:"

"The Record reported on September 12, 2001 that the Israelis were initially spotted at New Jersey's Liberty State Park at the time of the initial crash. For those not familiar with the NY-NJ area, it should be noted that Liberty Park, located directly across the river, offers the clearest and most unobstructed view possible of the World Trade Center. It would be the best place to position yourself if you had advance knowledge of an attack and wanted to witness it. In an article entitled: Five Men Detained as Suspected Conspirators

It does not apply at all. In time of war certain things need To bo done to preserve the nation. Habious Corpus was suspended by Lincoln during the civil war. He had decentors arrested and jailed. In WW2 FDR had news articles censored by the war department. Mail from service men overseas opened and read, misinformation provided as fact. In both cases this country came out of those times stronger and with more civil liberties than before. Some may buy the liberal lie that the war on terror is being waged in order to take away the rights of Americans. What they really mean is that they don't want the US to engage terrorists, and they don't want the US to win if it does. This may sound fantastic but liberals are more afraid of a strong America than they are of Islamic fascists. What that says about them I'll leave to you. For God sakes these idiots even oppose profiling of suspects in airports, need I say more.

I prefer this one

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." -Thomas Jefferson

or this one

"A democracy is a sheep and two wolves deciding on what to have for lunch. Freedom is a well armed sheep contesting the results of the decision." - Benjamin Franklin

Franklin who? Benjamin Franklin?

It's the balance of what do you want more... freedoms or security?

If you're scared something might happen, you are willing to give up some of your freedoms. If you think nothing will happen, you want more freedom.

Think of it this way...

If you were in your house, and you CHOSE to lock every door and hide yourself in a closet (therefore behind at least three locked doors).... then you feel safe... but very little freedom.

On the other hand, if you had every single door OPEN... then you're free to move about every room...

It's a balancing act, ja?

I agree with it 100%.

It reminds me of all those ppl who say, "If you aren't doing anything wrong then what are you afraid of and hiding..."

These ppl are complete morons and deserve to have their freedoms taken... I would love to take all of them and put them in Nazi Germany as Jews before the Holocaust then sit back and be a fly on the wall, when THEY DID NOTHING WRONG but were persecuted and controlled.

I am having a hard time connecting the two. I don't understand who would have given up liberty for safety.

No relation as no "ESSENTIAL" liberties have been given up post 9/11.

2007-10-13 05:53:16 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 0 2

There is a difference between giving up liberty and pausing liberty in war time.
besides we have given up no essential liberty
key word is essential.
Don't you love key words. Libs tend to miss important words in statements. Has something to with emotional system over-riding intellectual systems.

Let us take this statment as libs intend it and and apply it to immagration.
But libs will not do that

Let us take that statment as libs intend it and apply it to ww2,
we are all speaking German.

History, liberals worst nightmare.
