Had unprotected sex on 26th September, the day before my period started, had my period the next day i felt it was a slighlty irregular one. However lately i have had sharp pains/cramps in abdomen, tiredness, lower back pains, eating is going crazy and moodiness.

I bought two pregnancy tests and couldnt wait so i did one on the 13th october, however im not due until the 27th.

1/Was this too early?
2/Do these sound like common pregnancy symptoms?
3/When shall i do the other test?

Thanks

It can happen any time though it's not as liklely before 10 days after your period or after 20 days, but nature does some odd stuff. takeing one now won't hurt anything, not matter how early, if the test detects the hormone then there's a 98% chance you are preg, if it doesn't, try taking another one about 3 days after your missed period, by then the hormone should be easy for the test to pick up.

Ovulation occurs two weeks past the first day of your cycle so it is unlikely you would have been ovulating or pregnant as an effect of sex on the 26th. Anything is possible, but it not likely. I would wait until your next cycle and if you don't start, then take the second test. Your symptoms could be premenstrual related and/or pregnancy. Ironically, they are just about the same.

You probably weren't even ovulating then. Yes, that's too early to take a pregnancy test. Most tests are only up to 5 days before your missed period. Chances are you're not pregnant though. But you can go ahead and take another test closer to when your period should come, if it makes you feel better.

you were not fertile on September 26th. It's about 98% unlikely that you were pregnant from that sexual encounter, and you are probably right about ovulation time right now. sometimes ovulation can give some light cramps. or you could even have a virus causing your symptoms, the test you took was really a waste.

You ovulate/conceive 2 weeks before your period is due. You would have not been fertile on Sept 26th, and probably just ovulating on Oct 13th.

yes it was way too early, since you had a period on the 26th sept. the symptoms you are having could be that you're ovulating now.
